CARA Montrose 6am - Week 5
Double-digit Miles for All, Regatta, & Sailors
Sunny and Huuuuuuuumid
The temps tomorrow morning are supposed to be a nice upper 60s to mid 70s - but the humidity is somewhere between soggy and disgusting. Keep this in mind while stopping for water to make sure that no one is overexerting themselves.
Notable Path Events
A double-whammy weekend of early morning sailors.
Chicago Sprint Regatta - their boats and trailers will be all over the Lincoln Park Lagoon area in front of the zoo. Some years they are good about not wandering all over the path early in the morning; some years they are oblivious to our presence.
Race to Mackinac launches our of Monroe Harbor, so there will some not-quite-awake people wandering to their boats. This only affects those doing the Advanced mileage, though.
Weather, Water Stops, & Turnarounds
☀️ sunny, 69°-74°F, minimal breeze, 94% humidity, AQI of moderate
🚰 Waveland, Diversey, North Ave, Monroe, and Montrose
🏃Novice: 10 miles (1/2 mile south of North Ave. 🚢)
🏃Intermediate: 12 (Chicago Ave.)
🏃Advanced: 14 (Monroe water stop🚰)
