No Fun Friday
We’re starting our second cycle, which means this is a build week. It’s time to start thinking about self-imposed No Fun Fridays. Being that it is a holiday, today, I expect we’re going to have more than a few bleary eyed runners tomorrow morning.
Notable Path Events
NASCAR closures - none of our groups go far enough south to be affected by the potential mayhem downtown. Jean Baptiste Pointe du Sable Lake Shore Drive will be closed around Grant Park, so add extra time if you need are coming from the south.
Weather, Water Stops, & Turnarounds
🌤️partly cloudy, mid 70’s and rising quickly. Keep an eye on your runners on the way back; extend water breaks 30s or so if needed.
🚰 Waveland, Diversey, North Ave, and Montrose - there’s also the water fountain at the south end of the Chicago River bridge, for those running advanced mileage.
🏃Novice: 9 miles (North Ave. 🚢)
🏃Intermediate: 11 (Chicago Ave.)
🏃Advanced: 13 (Chicago River bridge🌉)
